A front panel picture of apparently the Xperia Z3 and the Z3 Compact have made their way online, giving the world a first look at them. The leaked picture does not really reveal much about the device expect that Sony is still going to make use of its OmniBalance design language.

Even the bezels look more or less the same as present on the Xperia Z3, so it is not yet clear on how Sony is planning to differentiate its upcoming flagship from its predecessor in the build department.

The picture also confirms the presence of a Z3 Compact — successor to the Z1 Compact. Unlike other OEMs, Sony’s ‘Compact’ phones are a true scaled down version of its flagship handset, packing in the same amount of horse power under the hood as its bigger brother.

Rumors have indicated that the Xperia Z3 will sport a 5.2-inch QHD display and pack a Snapdragon 805 processor. Both handsets are expected to be unveiled in a couple of months from now at IFA in Berlin. Not much is known about the Z3 Compact though, but expect that to change in the next few weeks.
