Motorola give us an official sneak peek at the Moto 360

Moto 360

Motorola has posted the first official demo video of its upcoming Android Wear powered smartwatch — the Moto 360. The video reveals some interesting tidbit about the smartwatch and how it is different from the likes of the LG G Watch and Gear Live.

The Moto 360 has a very sleek and distinctive design, unlike the G Watch and Gear Live — which look hideous and more like a toned down smartphone. It is also the only Android Wear smartwatch announced to make use of a round display, which sets it apart from the competition.

The Moto 360 also comes with a physical button on the right side, which is used to wake up the display. Otherwise, the display is in a low-power state to help extend battery life.

Motorola also demonstrated how to navigate around the UI and some of the watch faces that the Moto 360 would ship with. Other features of the watch are similar to what Google demonstrated at its keynote yesterday including notifications for phone calls, hangout messages, Google Now and more.

The Moto 360 is slated to go on sale sometime later this summer, which gives the LG G Watch and Samsung’s Gear Live a key advantage over it.

Will you wait for the Moto 360 until then or order a Gear Live or LG G Watch? Drop in a comment and let us know!
