App of the Week: Nova Launcher

Nexus-5-Nova-Launcher

Today’s app of the week, Nova Launcher, made its debut appearance on the Google Play Store last year and has been recognized as one of the most elegant, user-friendly, secure and feature-packed third-party launchers ever since. So, consequently, we’ve decided to bring it its very own review here at Cult of Android.

Nova not only allows its users to completely customize every inch of their home screen with a truckload of on board features, it enables them to group, resize, combine and rearrange applications as well as widgets.

The launcher also permits users to adjust the color theme of their device, and gives them the option to change the accent color of the launcher with full color picker support — so users can compose just about any color combination they can imagine. They too have the facility to install icon packs, which are compatible with the ADW or Go Launcher themes, which can be found on the Play Store.

In addition, users also have the ability to alter the transparency and scrolling style of the built-in application drawer, along with the option to select a fancy new transition effect from Nova Launcher’s built-in bundle, which includes Cube, Cardstack and many, many more.

Best of all, Nova Launcher is optimized for both Android-powered smartphones, smartwatches and tablets, so users won’t find themselves facing any annoying fragmentation and alignment issues when they install it.

If you like the sound of Nova Launcher and you’re running Android 4.0. Ice Cream Sandwich or above on your device — click the link below to download and install it directly on your device.
