MediaFire has today announced new pricing and availability of its ultra-competitive cloud storage platform. Users can now get a whopping terabyte of space for just $5/month, and with a recently-refreshed desktop client and an updated Android app on the way, this might just be the service for you.

For those unfamiliar with cloud storage services, and more specifically MediaFire, they allow you to upload and manage your digital content regardless of your location. For example, you can upload a document when you’re out and about, then later access it at home. Or you can upload music to the platform from your computer, then stream it directly to your smartphone or tablet when you’re on the go. The possibilities really are endless.

Obviously, there are limits to what you can upload. MediaFire currently permits users to sync documents, spreadsheets, presentations, audio clips, Photoshop documents, PDF’s, pictures, videos and, finally, applications. So, unfortunately, if you wish to upload any files relevant to specialist software, you’re out of luck.
