Launch Of The Sony Xperia Z2 Delayed Until June In Hong Kong

The launch of the Sony Xperia Z2 has been reportedly delayed until June in Hong Kong according to the company’s Facebook page. The smartphone has already seen delays in parts of Europe due to supply chain related issues, so it was only a matter of time before the launch was delayed in other regions too.

This is certainly not a demand related shortage as was initially expected, so Sony will have some serious thinking to do to ensure that it doesn’t lose out on precious sales when the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One (M8) are launched globally later this week.

Sony ambitiously claimed to launch the Xperia Z2 on the 11th of April, although it now seems like the handset will see a delay all over the world.

Another concern for Sony is its six month update cycle. Going by this new revelation, users will basically have only three months until their expensive Sony flagship is replaced with a new one.
