T-Mobile Offering The Galaxy S5 On Pre-Order For $0 Upfront Starting Monday

Galaxy S5

Following the pre-orders of AT&T and U.S. Cellular variants of the Samsung Galaxy S5, T-Mobile will follow suit starting this Monday on the 24th of March. The carrier is offering the smartphone with zero down payment and $27.50 per month for a period of two years. This equates to about $660, which isn’t too steep for a flagship device.

T-Mobile doesn’t offer smartphones on contracts anymore, so customers either have to pay full retail upfront or pick this monthly installment option. T-Mobile guarantees that customers who pre-order the smartphone before March 31, will be assured of getting it first on April 11 from its stores without having to wait in line. The CEO of T-Mobile has mentioned that the Galaxy S5 has already crossed half a million pre-registrations, so there’s quite a lot of interest for the handset.

As a promotional offer until March 31, the carrier is offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 with a $120 discount. It will also come with 200MB of data free for as long as it lasts, which is a clever way to drive sales of Samsung’s budget tablet.

The carrier is yet to give away availability details on the Gear 2 and Gear Fit smartwatches. But since there’s no pre-order facility for the smartwatches anywhere, we’re guessing T-Mobile will make them available directly on April 11.
