HTC Butterfly S Now Getting The Android 4.4 Update

Butterfly S

The Android 4.4 update for the forgotten HTC Butterfly S is now rolling out globally. The information has been confirmed by renowned Twitter sources as well as several forum posts. The update is 736MB in size and will change the software version to 3.06.708.3.

As this is an OTA update, it might take a while to reach the entirety of the Butterfly S users, so maintain patience if you haven’t received the notification yet. The wait might get even longer if you own a carrier branded variant of the smartphone. Alternatively, users can also try hitting the Settings on the handset and check for an update manually.

The KitKat upgrade will bring standard Android 4.4 specific changes on board, including a slight revamp in the user interface, cloud based printing, change in status bar icons, updates to some of HTC’s core features like BlinkFeed and the usual array of bug fixes.

HTC has already begun the roll out of the Android 4.4 update for its flagship devices like the One and the One Max, so it was only a matter of time before other models in its lineup got the update too.
