Meizu Could Launch The New MX4 Flagship On March 6

Meizu Event France

Meizu has just sent out invitations for a new launch event in Paris on the 6th of March. The Chinese manufacturer is expected to unveil the new MX4 flagship along with an Ubuntu running smartphone according to previous reports. An unveiling in Paris also means that Meizu is looking to go global on a large scale, which is rare for a Chinese OEM.

As far as the MX4 is concerned, there’s very little information at the moment, but it has been said that the device will feature a 5.5 inch display. It is also claimed that Meizu will launch a 2K display variant and a standard 1080p model to attract the midrange and high end market segment accordingly.

The smartphone could also feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset or even maybe the Exynos 5422 octa core chipset from Samsung.

Meizu’s ambitions in the global market could be limited to Europe for the time being. But if the company ventures its way to more regions of the world, it would see a lot more takers for its devices.
