Google let loose the original model of its flagship 7-inch tablet, the Nexus 7, back in June, 2012, and a month later the device was available to purchase from the Play Store for $299. However, if you didn’t have the opportunity or the wherewithal to pick one up at the time, it may interest you to know that Best Buy is currently selling the slate for $159.

The Nexus 7 2012 edition is not old hat by any means. It’s still a relatively impressive mid-range Android-powered tablet packing a 7-inch LED backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 1280, a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor, a ULP GeForce GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB/16GB of internal storage, a whopping 4,325 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery, and ships running the latest build of Android 4.4 KitKat.
