Motorola Active Display Updated To Support System Vibration Settings

Motorola pushes out a fairly minor update for its very popular Active Display application. Sadly, the app is a Motorola exclusive and is currently only available to download on the Droid, Ultra, Mini, Maxx and Moto X, though, recent rumors suggest that the Google-owned company will expand compatibility to some of its other smartphones in the not-too-distant future.

This update doesn’t bring much in the way of functionality, but it does pack a nifty new feature which honors the system vibration settings — so now when you pick up your phone to check your notifications the phone will automatically vibrate. As you’d expect, the upgrade also brings a multitude of bug fixes, speed optimizations and stability improvements, and from what we can see, Active Display now appears to be significantly smoother.

Changelog:

  • Honors the system vibration settings. Turn vibration on/off by going to Settings -> Sound -> Vibrate on touch.
  • More bug fixes
