Galaxy Note 4 Could Support Handwritten Actions On The Lock Screen [Patent]

Galaxy Note 4 Feature

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is still quite a distance away from launch, but a new patent application by Samsung might have already given away part of the surprise. A new patent filing suggests the Korean manufacturer could introduce the ability to perform handwritten actions from the lock screen.

What this means is that if a user were to write “send a message” on the lockscreen, the smartphone would unlock itself and go ahead and start composing a message. This is a pretty nifty feature and could make the Galaxy Note series even more desirable for the masses.

It is yet to be clarified if Samsung will use this feature with the Galaxy Note 4 or maybe wait until next year, but given the company’s zest to bring new tech to its flagships, we will not be surprised to see it onboard the upcoming Note phablet.

There’s still over 7 months left for the announcement of the Galaxy Note 4, so we could be treated to several leaks along the way.
