Vodafone U.K. has announced that it will be adding Motorola’s latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Moto G, to its rapidly growing lineup of Android-powered handsets.

Unfortunately, the carrier has not yet announced any pricing for this device as it’s holding back that information for the official launch, though we suspect it will be somewhere in the region of £120, seeing as that’s the price independent retailer, Phones 4U, is currently offering the device for on a Vodafone Simplicity tariff.

The Moto G was released back in November, 2013, and packs a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB/16GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter and a 2,070 mAh Li-Ion removable battery.

In terms of software, Vodafone claims that the handset will ship running the latest build of “Vanilla” Android 4.4 KitKat, which is particularly interesting, considering that Motorola hasn’t even started rolling out the much-anticipated update in Europe, yet — maybe Vodafone will be the first to spark off the torrent of upgrades.
