ASUS Padfone X To Launch On AT&T

ASUS-PadFone-2

According to recent leaks, rumors and speculation, ASUS is expected to unveil is latest Padfone variant, the Padfone X, in a press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas later on today, and it looks as if AT&T will be the first U.S. carrier to launch the handset smartphone/tablet hybrid.

Like all other devices in the Padfone series, the Padfone X consists of a smartphone and tablet dock. According to a leaked benchmark test recorded last month, the dock will pack a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 mSM-8974AB processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage and a 5-megapixel camera.

Unfortunately, the benchmark results did not reveal any specifications for the actual smartphone itself and @Evleaks did not specify when exactly AT&T would start selling the device or how much it is likely to be, so we’ll just have to wait until the press conference later today to find out more.
