ASUS Transformer Book Duet TD300 Leaks In YouTube Video Hours Before Official Announcement

Transformer Book Duet

Last night, ASUS’ upcoming flagship tablet of 2014, the Transformer Book Duet (TD300), was the star of a leaked video published on the Taiwanese company’s official YouTube channel, but, unfortunately, the short movie has since been removed from the Internet.

However, we did manage to catch a glimpse of the video just before it was pulled, so here’s is a brief insight of whats to come later on today when the device is announced at a press conference at 3pm EST.

As the name suggests, the 10.1-inch slate will be more than capable of running both Android and Windows, and, according to a very smartly dressed man in the video, the tablet will be able to switch between operating systems in around 8 seconds — which is pretty impressive, when you consider that the Retina MacBook Pro takes approximately 15 seconds to switch from OS X to Windows.

Like all tablets in ASUS’ Transformer range, the TD300 will ship with a traditional keyboard dock, which provides users with a full-sized QWERTY keyboard and a multi-touch trackpad — so when they’re done playing with their favourite Android apps, they can swiftly switch to Windows and open up the built-in native Office application in order to get some work done, and thanks to the Book Duet’s rumored 31W battery, they’ll have more than enough juice to get them through the day.

Be sure to check back later for more information on the Transformer Book Duet, as we’ll be bringing you the latest news as soon as it breaks.
