HTC announced its flagship smartphone of 2013, the HTC One, back in February, and a month later the handset was available to purchase in the U.K. from several independent retailers with a fairly hefty price tag of £599. However, if you didn’t pick one up at the time, it may be of interest for you to know that the online retailer Isme is currently selling the device for £549 — that’s £50 off the usual retail price.

The One is an extremely impressive high-end premium Android device, which packs a stunning 4.7-inch super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, a powerful QUalcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 chipset powered by four 1.7GHz Krait 300 CPU’s, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of non-expandable flash memory, a very crisp 4-megapixel “UltraPixel” rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization and a relatively mediocre 2,300 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery.

In addition, the handset ships running Android 4.2.1 skinned with HTC’s Sense 5.0 custom user interface. However, the device is upgradable to the latest build of 4.3 Jelly Bean upon receipt. Simply pop in your SIM card, boot up the device, connect to a Wi-Fi network and then you will be prompted to download and install the update — this process takes approximately half an hour, so if you’re eager to explore your new phone, just select the “Later” option, and you’ll be given the opportunity to update your phone the next time you restart it.

In order to take full advantage of this offer, you’ll need to head on over to Isme’s website by clicking the source link below, add the device to your basket, and then at checkout £50 will be deducted from the usual price of £599.
