The three largest Canadian carriers, Rogers, TELUS and Bell, are in the process of pushing out a rather hefty unexpected over-the-air (OTA) update to all of their carrier-branded Samsung Galaxy S4 and S4 Mini handsets located in Canada. This much-anticipated update finally brings Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and a newer version of the TouchWiz UI to the handset, in addition to support for the Galaxy Gear.

The Galaxy S4 was released back in April, 2013, and packs a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, a 1.6GHz quad-core Cortex A15 processor, a PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a removable 2,600 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Whereas, the Galaxy S4 Mini is a slightly smaller variant to the former flagship, which features a slightly scaled down 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960, a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a removable 1,900 mAh Li-Ion battery.
