ASUS has just started rolling out a much-anticipated over-the-air (OTA) update to all Transformer Pad TF701T tablets located in the United States. The upgrade weighs in at 273.17MB and brings Android 4.3 to the device, in addition to a mass of additional bug fixes and speed optimizations, as well a line of code which dramatically improves the battery life of the slate.

The Transformer Pad TF701T has been available for three weeks now, and sports a gorgeous 10.1-inch Super IPS+ LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a 1.9GHz quad-core Cortex A15 processor powered by a Nvidia Tegra 4 T40X chipset, a ULP GeForce GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 31Wh non-removable Li-Po battery.

The full changelog for the 4.3 Jelly Bean update can be seen below:

  • Improved battery life
  • Improved trackpad responsiveness (in dock)
  • Improved dock battery charging
  • Standard Android 4.3 features

If you own a Transformer Pad TF701T and have not received the OTA update yet, you can head into “Settings,” then “About Device,” and select “Check for Updates” to manually scan for the upgrade. Alternatively, you can download the Android 4.3 factory images from here, which ASUS uploaded to its official website last week.
