Announced last month at IFA 2013 in Berlin, ASUS’s latest Transformer Pad variant, the TF701T – which ships with a revamped version of the traditional dock and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean– is now available to purchase in the U.S. through Amazon for $499.

The TF701T is an impressive Android-powered tablet, which packs a gorgeous 10.1-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a 1.9GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 CPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), a Micro HDMI port (capable of driving 4K), Miracast Wireless Display support and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.

The 10-inch slate also features a 31Wh battery, which will, when combined with the 16Wh battery the traditional dock houses, provide up to 17 hours of constant battery life, or a respectable 13 hours without.
