Last week Dell officially announced two new Android-powered mid-range tablets, and now they are available to purchase online from the manufacturers online shopping portal. The Venue 7 is listed for $150, and the Venue 8 is retailing for the slightly higher price of $180.

Other than screen size, in terms of performance both the Venue 7 and 8 are identical under the hood. They both pack an Intel ATOM Z2580 dual-core processor, an Intel Graphics HD adapter, 2GB of RAM, a 1280 x 800 display, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy support and a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera.

In addition, both devices ship running the stock version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and are expected to receive the latest Android 4.3 update in the not-to-distant future.
