Samsung “Garda” Appears In Leaked Press Render

Samsung’s upcoming mid-range Android-powered smartphone, codenamed the “Garda” (SGH-T399), made its debut appearance in a leaked press render yesterday. We don’t know an awful lot about this device, but we do know that it will be available to purchase on T-Mobile U.S. later this month.

The render was leaked on Twitter, courtesy of @Evleaks, and exhibits the “Garda” in Samsung’s traditional Jet Black colorway. As far as design goes, the device itself is pretty similar to the South Korean company’s Galaxy S4 Mini, featuring neatly rounded corners and the standard ‘Menu’ and ‘Back’ capacitive touchscreen buttons.

In terms of specifications, the “Garda” is expected to pack a 4-inch WVGA display, a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and LTE connectivity. The handset should ship running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, with the latest version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI plastered over the top.
