Skype Update Brings Redesigned Tablet UI & Improved Video Quality

Skype-4-Android

Skype has published a rather nifty update for its official Android app on Google Play, bringing a slightly redesigned tablet UI, improved video quality and a multitude of bug fixes/stability improvements.

The redesigned tablet user interface now highlights conversations by displaying users most recent calls and chats in a simple menu under each contract entry; so you no longer have to search through an endless thread of call logs in order to find the chat you are looking for.

In addition, all Android users will also now be able to enjoy a dramatically improved video calling experience, thanks to a new line of code which improves video quality by almost 4x as much as the old video resolution, with significantly higher frame rates.
