Google Makes Quickoffice Free For All

Last year, Google acquired the most popular office suite application on the Play Store, Quickoffice, and now, the Google Play management team have officially announced that the service is free for everyone on Android and iOS.

The Quickoffice app provides users with a fully-functional mobile copy of Microsoft Office, which lets you edit and view any Office documents that are stored both in the cloud and locally on your device without compromising formatting – an issue that occurs when using most word-processing applications.

“This free app from Google lets you create and edit Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations on your Android phone and tablet. Sign in with your Google Account to save work in Google Drive, which gives you up to 15GB of free storage and lets you access your files from any mobile device or computer.,” Writes Google in the app’s description.

Google is also offering an extra 10GB of free Google Drive storage (in addition to the standard 15GB of free cloud storage) for two years if you install Quickoffice from Google Play by September 26, and link your Google account to the app.
