Virgin Mobile have officially announced that the ZTE Supreme is the latest budget-friendly smartphone to be added to its “ultra-affordable” lineup. Virgin currently holds exclusivity over this handset in the U.S., and has listed the device on its website as the Virgin Mobile Supreme.

The Supreme packs a 5-inch IPS display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an impressive 1080p 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2,500 mAh battery. The device ships running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and unfortunately will not be upgradable to 4.2 or 4.3.

You can grab the Supreme for $299 on any of Virgin’s no-contract pre-paid plans, which start at $35 per month. This plan includes 300 voice minutes, unlimited messaging, and unlimited 3G data.
