HTC Teases “Big Things Ahead” [Video]

One Max User Video

Over the past week, several rumors of HTC’s much-anticipated One Max have emerged and the company has responded by posting a video on YouTube, Instagram and Vine teasing an upcoming ‘thing.’

I think it’s safe to say that the video is rather strange. The opening shot features a guy holding what we believe to be an HTC One Max in his left hand. As a helicopter approaches he puts the phone in his back pocket and briskly walks towards the descending chopper, a man jumps out – who may or may not be Robert Downey Jr., who recently signed a $12 million advertising deal with HTC.

The mysterious man slaps the outstretched hand of the HTC guy, who has obviously gone to greet him. He then just carries on walking leaving ‘the greeter’ standing there somewhat bemused – a bit like the rest of us. At the end of the 16-second video the words “Here’s to Change” and HTC’s slogan “Happy Telephone Company” are blasted on the screen.

It’s hard to detect what HTC is actually hinting at in this video. However, we presume that it is in someway related in to the upcoming One Max which it’s rumored to be unveiling at IFA 2013 in Berlin.

There isn’t much in terms of detail in the video’s description, either. “Big Things Ahead. #HTChange” is all that is written.

If announced, the Max is expected to pack a 5.9-inch full HD display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 3,200 mAh battery and will ship running 4.3 Jelly Bean.
