Following LG Optimus F3’s recent release on both Sprint and Virgin Mobile back in June, T-Mobile has now announced that it will also be carrying a GSM variant of this handset, starting August 7.

The carrier is offering the device under its summer smartphone promotion – meaning you can pick up the F3 with no up-front fee. However, you will have to pay 24-monthly instalments of $10, to cover the cost of the handset, and you must be on T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plan.

The Optimus F3 is a respectable mid-range smartphone, featuring a 4-inch IPS touchscreen, a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2460 mAh battery.

T-Mobile’s edition of the LG Optimus F3 comes with a couple of exclusive features, one of which being Wi-Fi calling; which enables you to make free calls over Wi-Fi to other T-Mobile users with compatible handsets, and the other being T-Mobile TV, which allows you to stream live television – news, sports, kids’ shows and on demand content – directly to your handset.

The handset is available to purchase from T-Mobile’s retail and online stores, as well as selected retailers.
