myType started running its Kickstarter campaign for its revolutionary Pocketable Bluetooth Keyboard on July 27, and within 2 days it has achieved $91,159, which is an impressive $81,159 more than its pledge.

The keyboard features specially designed keys that are spaced perfectly for touch typing, surprisingly similar to most desktop keyboards on the market. At this point, you may be thinking to yourself: “So, why don’t I just use the standard Bluetooth keyboard I have at home if I want to type on my Android device when I’m on the go?” Well, I doubt that your at home keyboard is light, thin, flexible and can simply be folded in half to the size of a wallet to comfortably fit into your pocket or purse.

The myType Keyboard also includes a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, securing you weeks of use without having to plug in and recharge. The device also features Bluetooth 3.0 with a wireless range of 33 feet, which could be seeing an upgrade to Bluetooth 4.0 in the future.

The Pocketable Bluetooth Keyboard is extremely durable and splash resistant, effectively meaning that it can be used in most conditions with little chance of the hardware being damaged. It’s also perfect for meetings! Typing on the keyboard is close to silent, making it the perfect companion for use in the library, on an aeroplane, in a quiet office or just about anywhere as long as there is a flat surface.

The device will be available in 5 colors: Kickstarter green, black, white, blue and pink, all of which will retail at $59.

MyType plans to have its first batch of Kickstarter units shipping out sometime next month (August, 2013), so if you’d like to get your hands on one 8 weeks prior the standard launch date head on over to Kickstarter by clicking the source link below; but hurry, there’s only 3 left!
