The AppRadio for Android app, an exclusive feature of Pioneer’s in-dash car receivers, has just received an update on the Play Store, bringing compatibility to another 16 Android devices. This companion app enables users to control dozens of apps directly from its in-dash receiver screen. The update brings the total amount of compatible Android devices to an impressive 42, at present.

Pioneer’s AppRadio Mode Products that are compatible with the AppRadio application include AppRadio 3, AppRadio 2, Pioneer’s DVD receiver and selected navigation devices. If your planning to use AppRadio for Android, a connection kit is required, which is sold separately. Samsung’s Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 handsets also require an additional connection kit on top of the standard one.
