We’ve heard hordes of rumors indicating that a new Nexus 7 variant is on its way, but we have had little proof that the device actually existed… Until now, that is. An anonymous source has leaked an inventory screenshot for the new Nexus 2 7″ revealing the expected retail prices of both the 16GB and the 32GB.

We now have confirmation that the device will feature a quad-core processor – presumably a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, – a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2GB of RAM and maybe a 1080p display.

We believe that the second-generation Nexus 7 will be available to purchase in two models, Wi-Fi and cellular, with prices for a Wi-Fi model starting at $229 for 16GB of internal storage and $269 for 32GB of built-in storage.

The inventory screenshot also reveals that there are no units stocked at this particular leakers location, at present, but it does show that retailers are preparing to catalogue the latest 7″ Nexus device and in theory its arrival should not be too far off.
