ted2

The popular lecture and presentation application, TED, has received a solid new update in Google Play. The upgrade brings the inclusion of over 20 new languages, which enables users to listen to presentations and view subtitles; thanks to some superb volunteers participating in TED’s Open Translation Project.

These newly accessible languages give people from over 100 countries the ability to use the app in their native languages, whilst browsing for talks and reading through the FAQ sections.

Subtitle support has also been updated offering an on-screen transcript in 102 different languages, with Somali being the most recent translation to be applied to the app.

TED is a truly revolutionary app which brings thousands of pre-recorded lectures to your Android device; there’s something for everyone… Whether you are a technology enthusiast, history fanatic or cat lover.
