Glympse has announced that it will be teaming up with Evernote to enable users to archive a list of their Glympse trails within their Evernote notebooks. By utilizing the built-in sharing features in the Android OS, Glympse location data can be automatically shared to a dedicated “My Glympse Trails” folder in their Evernote account.

Each saved Glympse entry contains details about the recipients, date, time, destination (if included) and duration of the Glympse. All of this data is stored in the user’s Evernote account for easy access from just about anywhere.

Glympse is the pioneer of person-to-person location sharing, with an intuitive design that easily integrates location sharing into everyday activities. It seems logical that the popular location-oriented company is teaming up with Evernote, a company whose service is used by millions of people on a daily basis, enabling users to display their entries in a notebook-style archive.

SEATTLE – July 3, 2013 – It was only a matter of time before Glympse, Inc., the world’s leading real-time location sharing service, began working with Evernote, the company that is helping the world remember everything, to allow users to easily save their Glympse “trails” in one place. Now included within Evernote Trunk in the Lifestyle and Travel Category, Glympse users can easily choose Evernote directly from the mobile app and automatically archive their location broadcast.

“Many of our users have requested a way to save a snapshot of their Glympse map trails so they can view road trips, keep runs and bike rides, archive a special trip abroad, or just remember an interesting location. We wanted to make this feature simple and easy,“ said Bryan Trussel, co-founder and CEO of Glympse. “Evernote is the perfect solution: users retain complete control over how they share their location and can choose to save their trips to their personal Evernote account for review at a later date.”

Sharing to Evernote from Glympse is easy: like sharing to Facebook or Twitter, a user simply signs in to their Evernote account in the Glympse mobile app. They can then send a Glympse to their Evernote account to automatically save their trail for future reference. The completed trail is automatically stored in a folder in Evernote named “My Glympse Trails.” From this folder, users are able to see snapshots of their saved trails along with the details (including recipients, date, time, and duration of the Glympse as well as the destination if included) of each Glympse saved.

“Evernote helps people remember their lives, and a big part of living is traveling from place to place. With Glympse, those trips can be recorded alongside an Evernote’s users other memories. It’s a natural fit,” said Rafe Needleman, director of developer relations.

The services are available to download in the Glympse’s latest update which can be download by click the source link below.
