Samsung Releases Andrew Park-Inspired Promo For Galaxy Note 8.0 [Video]

Samsung Mobile has published a new video on its YouTube channel showcasing the new Galaxy Note 8.0 and what it’s capable of. The video was inspired by the illustrator Andrew Park, and takes us on a journey through his creative process with Samsung’s new tablet.

The South Korean company released the Android-powered Note 8.0 earlier this year in an effort to fill the gap between its Galaxy Note II phablet devices and the larger Note 10.1. Since the Nexus 7 was released back in July, 2012, there has been a huge demand for 7-inch tablets, and Samsung spotted a gap in the market for a slightly larger 8-inch device — and so far it’s proving to be a success.

The short yet very interesting video can be seen below.

You may recognize Andrew Park’s work from videos on the Internet for the RSA Animate series, which attempts to create visual narratives of complex concepts. In the video Park talks about how the S Pen is similar to drawing on a whiteboard and how he doesn’t need to carry around a bunch of different books, as all of his resources can be easily accessed on the Note 8.0.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 packs an 8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 4600 mAh battery. All in all, a pretty respectable high-end Android tablet.
