Leaked images and specifications for a rumored Samsung Galaxy Memo have surfaced this morning. The device is based on the Galaxy Note series — though it looks a lot like the Galaxy S4 — and it features Samsung’s beloved S Pen stylus.

There is no confirmation as to whether these images, which were obtained by SamMobile, are indeed real or not at this time, but they certainly look like genuine press release shots — or at least very, very good third-party renders.

The device is rumored to feature a 4.5-inch HD TFT capacitive touchscreen, a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel camera. In terms of software, the device will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean and Samsung’s TouchWiz UX interface.

The Galaxy Note series is Samsung’s phablet range of devices, with both Note I & II models featuring screens sizes above 5-inches. It’s slightly odd to see Samsung making a smaller device, this time with a 4.5-inch screen, but many people have speculated about the size of the Note II and some have even requested an S Pen for their smaller devices.

Could it be that Samsung has heard customer requests and is making a smaller Note model for the people who don’t want to purchase a phablet?
