Sony Publishes “With A First Touch” Commercial Featuring NFC Technology [Video]


With the increasing use of NFC, it’s only natural that companies want to promote their NFC-enabled products, as much as possible. Sony is the latest company to jump on the bandwagon, publishing its “With a Touch/First Touch” commercial on YouTube and on selected TV broadcasting channels.

Sony showed initiative when designing its latest commercial, integrating two very relatable characters – a teenage boy and girl who have a crush on each other – let’s face it, we’ve all been there! The teenagers share love songs to each other’s Sony devices (headphones & smartphones) using NFC technology, effectively expressing their feelings for one another. NFC has come a long way since its first integration in the Nokia 6131, back in 2006. Believe it or not, NFC is used on a daily basis by millions of people all over the world – whether it’s to share a song, turn off a light, or download a document, it’s relied on by many people.

Sony’s latest commercial shows just one of a millionsways that NFC can be used, and in this case it’s used for two teenagers to overcome their socially awkward issues.
