YouTube For Google TV Gets New Interface, New Features

Untitled

Google unveiled a ton of astonishing new features, updates and applications at the Google I/O keynote on Wednesday, however something they failed to mention was the brand new update for their YouTube application for the Google TV.

Google rolled out the update Wednesday evening, without announcing it at the I/O keynote, so it came as a bit of a surprise to many Google TV users. The update brings a redesigned user interface, to make navigating the application a bit easier, and more user friendly.

Improvements have also been made to the playback video controls, they are more accessible and easier to use. In addition, subscription options are much easier to use as-well and you can now subscribe/unsubscribe to users straight from your Google TV.

The full change-log for version 1.7 can be seen below, taken directly from the application page on the Play Store.

What’s in this version:

– New home screen interface.
– Enhanced video playback controls.
– Support for paid subscriptions.
