Remember The Milk For Android Gets New UI, Tablet Support

ENE

The popular to-do list application Remember The Milk got a much-needed update today – hurrah! – which brings a completely redesigned UI and support for Android tablets. It also makes some other minor improvements and addresses several bugs.

Version 3.0, codenamed Tik-Tok, brings a completely redesigned interface to the application that implements a ‘card stack’ concept. Remember The Milk developers implement the same UI in their iPhone and iPad versions of the application, however the Android application has a Holo-Eque look and feel to it – matching the Android guidelines.

The application has been optimized and redesigned to run on tablet devices, while redesigned task and note views make it easier to view, edit, and share using taps and swipes. One of the slightly minor improvements is that the update makes it much easier to edit multiple tasks at the same time, in addition to task completion being managed using a tap and hold feature.

Remember The Milk 3.0 has been optimized for devices running Android 4.1 and higher, the redesigned app takes full advantage of the Android operating systems ability to perform actions from the notification shade – users can now complete or postpone a task without opening the full application.

If you have a reminder set within the application, the notification shade will list them on multiple lines, however, users who upgrade to the Pro version will have access to widgets that have been redesigned and the ‘VIP’ list widgets can be placed on your lock screen for those looking to view their tasks on the home screen.

If you’re in the market for a task management application that takes full advantage of the Android OS, Remember The Milk is definitely worth checking out – be sure to watch the video below for more information.
