After launching last week in the U.S., the Galaxy Note 8.0 is now available to purchase in Canada. Right now, the device can be bought at Best Buy, Future Shop, Staples, and other authorized retailers, priced at $429 — which means it’s significantly more expensive than in the U.S.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a mighty device, consisting of a 1280×800 8-inch capacitive display, quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, 2GB of RAM, 5MP rear facing camera, S Pen and 16GB of internal storage (upgradable to 64GB via a microSD card).

Obviously the Note 8.0 runs the most up-to-date version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, equipped with all of the extra features that Samsung supplies Galaxy devices with, such as TouchWiz, S Note, S Voice, S Suggest, and S Planner.

Samsung Canada held a press release earlier this week, attempting to persuade its Canadian fans to pick up a Note 8.0 upon its release. Here’s what they had to say:
