LG Updates Timeline For Ice Cream Sandwich Updates

We continue to hear from manufactures regarding their plans for updating their recent devices to Android 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich). This time it’s LG’s turn, giving us an updated timeline regarding their ICS updates. According to a post on Facebook, LG plans to start updating their 2011 line of phones starting Q2 of 2012.

Beginning Q2 of 2012, LG will begin updating the following devices to Android 4.0:

  • – LG Optimus LTE
  • – Prada phone by LG 3.0
  • – LG Optimus 2X
  • – LG Optimus Sol
  • – LG My Touch Q
  • – LG Eclipse

After the first batch of ICS rollouts, LG will begin updating the following devices:

  • – LG Optimus 3D
  • – LG Optimus Black
  • – LG Optimus Big
  • – LG Optimus Q2
  • – LG Optimus EX

Of course these dates are subject to change and may not reflect when or if individual carriers release them. So with that said, do you think Q2/Q3 is too long to wait for your 2011 LG device to be updated? Will you be waiting, or ditching your phone for a newer hyper-beast running Android 4.0 out-of-box?
