As promised earlier this year, HTC is in the process rolling out the first batch of its eagerly-awaited Sense 6.0 over-the-air (OTA) update to all unlocked models of its former flagship smartphone, the One (M7), currently located in Canada. This upgrade also brings a few other major improvements, including a new camera app, enhanced BlinkFeed, Extreme Power Saving mode and a transparent status bar.

In terms of functionality, Sense 6 is a considerable upgrade from Sense 5.5, packing a completely redesigned user interface which is even simpler than it’s predecessor, Fitbit integration which enables users to record how many steps they make on a daily basis, video pausing during capture which allows users to pause whilst capturing a video and piece together two or more scenes without having to run video editing, a revamped Sense TV layout and lots more.

So if you live in the Canada and own an unlocked variant of the HTC One (M7), and have not yet received this hefty 668MB OTA update, you can head into “Settings,” then “About Device,” and select “Check for Updates” to manually scan for the upgrade.
