ZTE Nubia X6 Officially Announced With A Beefy Hardware

Nubia X6

ZTE has just announced the Nubia X6 smartphone following much speculation and rumors. The smartphone is a monster in terms of hardware as it packs a 6.44 inch 1080p display as well as a 2.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 chipset to ensure that no task is too overwhelming.

The highlight however is 13-megapixel camera on the front as well as the back with an f/2.2 and f/2.0 aperture size respectively for great self shot images.

It seems like ZTE has launched the smartphone keeping ‘selfie’ lovers in mind as it’s quite unnatural to find a sensor this big for a portrait camera. The rear camera comes with a 5-element lens and Optical Image Stabilization as well, so it’s pretty well equipped too.

Other features of the Nubia X6 include 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, NFC and three dedicated noise cancellation microphones. ZTE will launch the handset in 32, 64 and 128GB configurations for the Chinese equivalent of $485, $565 and $645 respectively. The handset also comes with a massive 4,250 mAh battery.

ZTE hasn’t mentioned the Android version that the smartphone will be running on, but we’re guessing it will be KitKat considering that it’s the latest version of Android. The smartphone could remain a China only affair for the foreseeable future, so don’t hold your breath for a global release, although the manufacturer is yet to make anything public on that front.
