Google Search For Android Update Brings The Ability To Search Across Apps

Google-Now-cards

Back when Google unveiled the Nexus 5, it previewed an upcoming feature for the Google Search app that would allow users to directly open search results inside of relevant apps, rather than taking to their website.

So, if a user would search for a movie name on Google search for Android, he would get an option to directly open the search result inside the IMDb app.

Today, the company has started rolling out an update for Google Search that brings the above feature to all Android users.

Besides, Google is also bringing the ability to directly search for apps from the Google Search app. Searching for “downhill skiing apps” will now automatically show you some of the useful skiing apps available on the Play Store with an install button beside them.

As always, Google is rolling out the update gradually so it will take at least a few days for the update notification to show up on your Android device. We will provide a download link of the APK for the update for manual installation, as soon as someone on the Internet manages to grab it.
