Last week, T-Mobile U.S. started accepting pre-orders for Google’s latest flagship smartphone, the Nexus 5, on its official website. And now, as expected, the handset is available to purchase from any of the carriers nationwide retail stores. However, the operator failed to mention that the new Nexus 7 would also be obtainable from any of its bricks-and-mortar stores, too.

The operator is selling the Nexus 5 with a $41.99 down payment, followed by 24 monthly payments of $17, which adds up to a rather hefty $449 – which is a $100 more than Google’s one-off upfront payment of $349. Whereas, the Nexus 7 is retailing with no down payment, and 24 monthly payments of $16, which adds up to a grand total of $384 – that’s only $34 more than you’d pay on Google Play.

The Nexus 5 is the most impressive Android on the market, featuring a gorgeous 4.95-inch True HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2,300 mAh non-removable battery.

The Nexus 7 is slightly less impressive but provides great value for money, packing a 7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1200 x 1920, a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 3,950 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.
