Google has officially announced that it has expanded the availability of its Play Books service on smartphones and tablets to an additional 13 new countries across Europe.

Many countries in the EU already have compatibility, but there are still quite a few that lack the capabilities to connect to the Play Book Store and as a result, the team at Mountain View is doing everything it can to introduce support for this new feature to these countries.

The feature will now be available in the following countries:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Romania
  • Sweden

This app allows users to purchase, download and install supported books on their Android smartphones and tablets, which it turn gives them the power to read whenever and wherever they please.

Due to a recent update, when reading an eBook, your progress is automatically synchronized and uploaded to the Play Books servers, where it electronically updates all of your Android devices. So, there’s never been a better time to download the app if you don’t already have it installed.
