Ever since the release of the HTC One, back in March 2013, HTC have encountered many production issues. A week after release, HTC suffered some major setbacks due to camera component shortages, and now they’re looking to speed up production of their latest flagship device.

HTC North Asia president, Jack Tong reported to Taiwan Focus, that production of the HTC One will double in May and rise further into June and July to meet the incredible ‘strong demand’. Tong also added ‘We are optimistic about our high-end sales during April and June’ – clearly HTC have a lot of confidence in their latest device, and they have reason to, it really is a great device!

Near the end of the press conference, Tong commented on the HTC Butterfly – he claimed that it was one of HTC’s strongest performers, and informed the press that sales had increased by as much as 50%, since the price cut in Japan.

Tong finished the conference on a high note, by informing us that the Butterfly should also be getting a software update with Sense 5.0 and new features like BlinkFeed before the end of the month.

After a few incredible months of financial results, it certainly looks like HTC will be hoping to live up to the increased demand for its phones, and hope that it will result in a stronger set of numbers in Q2.
