HTC-One-two-year-credit

HTC appears to be struggling to sell its flagship HTC One, despite rave reviews, an expensive marketing campaign, and plenty of praise from pundits and users. So in an effort to shift a few more of them over Christmas, the company is now giving U.S. customers interest-free credit over two years with $0 down to finance an unlocked handset.

Moto-X-colors

Republic Wireless is set to begin selling the Moto X off-contract for $299, according to a number of search results found on the carrier’s website. The company has already teased “a big announcement” coming this week, and it appears the Moto X will be it.

The new Moto X is expected to join the Nexus 4, the Galaxy S4, and the HTC One on Google Play next month, allowing consumers to buy the device directly from Google. It’s already available from AT&T and Verizon, but according to a leaked screenshot from T-Mobile’s inventory, its model will only be available from Google Play.

An Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is currently making its way to international Samsung Galaxy Note devices in Canada and the United Kingdom. Users on Bell, Rogers, and TELUS in Canada have all seen the update, as have those with an unlocked device in the U.K.

Those in the United States can now purchase the HTC One unlocked from HTC’s online store, priced at $575. In addition to the freedom to use your device on any carrier you like, you’ll also enjoy 32GB of storage, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, and HTC’s latest Sense 5.0 user interface.
