It looks like Google and ASUS have some competition in the sub-$200 quad-core tablet market. Acer was apparently looking to be first out of the gate when they unveiled their sub-$200 7-inch Tegra 3 Iconia Tab A110 at Computex the other day. Featuring Android 4.0, 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, front-facing camera, and a HDMI out port with dual-display support, the Iconia Tab A110 looks to give the Nexus tablet a run for its money.

The rumored Google Nexus tablet that’s been talked about for months appears to have taken a spin on the benchmark site Rightware. Showing up under the name Google ASUS Nexus 7, this 768×1280 quad-core mystery device actually gives us quite a bit of information thanks to a little digging by the guys over at Android Police.
NVIDIA was full of news today. First they announced that the NVIDIA Icera 410 LTE multimode data modem chipset had been tested and validated for operation on the AT&T 4G LTE network. Then, in the company’s annual investor meeting today, Nvidia GM Mike Rayfield, revealed quite a bombshell: 30 quad-core Tegra 3 smartphones by the end of 2012!
That’s a lot of smartphones in general, but 30 quad-core Tegra 3 devices in half a year’s time is astonishing. The insane part about it is, almost half of them will be budget phones! Say what? Tegra 3 budget phones? It’s going to be one hell of a summer!
