HTC has gradually rolled out a number of devices with its latest Sense 5 user interface following its debut on the flagship HTC One back in March — and today the Taiwanese company presented fans with a budget-friendly option in the Desire 300, a 4.3-inch device that will make its debut in Europe this October.

After being leaked a number of times in recent weeks, the Desire 601 was today made official by HTC. The midrange handset has been designed to provide access to a number of headline HTC features — such as BoomSound, Sense 5, and HTC Zoe — in a slightly smaller, cheaper package.

We’ve already seen HTC’s limited edition Hello Kitty Butterfly S thanks to a leaked promotional poster that was pictured last week — but today the Taiwanese smartphone maker made the handset official. It looks identical to the original Butterfly S, but it has a Hello Kitty face on its back and comes pre-loaded with nine Hello Kitty wallpapers.

A limited edition Hello Kitty HTC Butterfly S has been pictured ahead of its official debut.

The device is largely identical to the original Butterfly S — both inside and out — but it has a large Hello Kitty head printed on its back, and a pink Hello Kitty wallpaper set as default. The device is also expected to come pre-loaded with other Kitty content.

Over the past two weeks, HTC has been pushing out the Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5 update to its HTC One X and One X+ in Taiwan, and now the Happy Telephone Company has started to roll out exactly the same upgrade over-the-air to all One X and One X+ handsets located in the U.K.
