The latest rumor to add to the hoard of Nexus 2 7″ related speculation is that the device will go on sale at the popular worldwide independent retailer, Staples, starting July 31. That’s a day after it is due to go on sale at Best Buy.
Just over a week ago, Vodafone confirmed that it would be the only U.K. network to carry Huawei’s 6.1-inch phablet, the Ascend Mate, but gave no indication of its release date. As of yesterday, residents in the United Kingdom are now able to pick up the Mate on Vodafone for free on a £29 per month contract, or for a one time payment of £300 on PAYG.
Verizon customers have been patiently awaiting the release of the HTC One since it was confirmed in early June, and although the carrier promised it would be here “this summer,” we’re still yet to see a more specific release date. In the so-called “reverse merger,” the significantly smaller company, MetroPCS, will be buying into the networking giant, T-Mobile.
