Google is finally embracing podcasts again on Android, three years after ditching its official Listen app. The company today announced that it is bringing podcasts to its Play Music app, and it will help you find new shows based on your mood.

The BBC’s iPlayer Radio app has finally arrived on Android, just over five months after making its debut on the iPhone, allowing you to take your favorite BBC radio stations with you wherever they go. You can listen to live radio from all of the BBC’s U.K. stations, over both Wi-Fi and cellular connections.

Good podcast catchers are hard to come by. Shifty Jelly has released a new app in Google Play called Pocket Casts, and it looks like the best podcasts app there is for Android.

Every now and then, Google takes a second (or third) look at some of their projects to determine whether or not they’re worth the effort. Some projects are given the okay to continue, while others, well… they’re not so lucky. Google’s latest fatality is its much neglected podcast player, Google Listen.
