Samsung’s physical keyboard case, which leaked out early late last week, was not a prank.

The South Korean company today made the accessory official alongside the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+, both of which are fully compatible with it.

In a bid to appeal to the few users that are still clinging onto BlackBerry devices, Samsung seems to have designed a clunky clip-on keyboard cover for its upcoming Galaxy S6 edge+.

The device, which was leaked on Twitter ahead of its official unveiling, puts physical keys over the handset’s display to provide a tactile typing experience.

Samsung has promised to deliver an over-the-air security update in the coming days to patch a serious flaw with the SwiftKey keyboard baked into its Android-powered Galaxy devices.

Its announcement comes just one day after a security researcher exposed the vulnerability, which affects around 600 million Samsung handsets — including its new Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.

A mobile security researcher has discovered a vulnerability in the Swift keyboard on Samsung’s Android devices that allows an attacker to remotely run malicious code. Over 600 million Galaxy handsets are said to be affected, including the company’s new Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.
