Sony has today announced a new Wi-Fi only version of its Xperia Z Ultra that will go on sale in Japan later this week, priced at ¥51,800 ($495). By removing the device’s cellular radio, the Japanese company has transformed it from a super-sized smartphone into a compact tablet, but the rest of its internals remain untouched.

Google has taken to its official Twitter account to announced that its second-generation wireless charger for the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) is now available from the Play Store in Australia, India, Japan and Korea.

Yesterday, Google officially announced that its latest ASUS produced flagship tablet, the Nexus 7, is now available in white for residents in the United States. The team at Mountain View also added that the new color is on its way to Japan and the U.K.

Today, Google officially updated its Play Store support page, to notify consumers that it will soon be launching its Google Play gift cards in Japan with ¥1500 ($15), ¥3,000 ($29), ¥5,000 ($49), ¥10,000 ($97), ¥15,000 ($146) and astonishingly ¥20,000 ($195) denominations.
